I must be crazy!

Here I am again up on a Saturday at 4am. ?@#?#! Cruising around the blog world I found a cartoon that seems appropriate for some (or all) of my children who have fallen away from regular church attendance. I thought it might inspire. Thanks Alicia!

Disney World is still great!

We had a wonderful trip in spite of the August-like temperatures this week in central Florida. We tried out Universal but found it to be too ride oriented and the rest lacking the expected magic! We prefer Disney. We saw the Cirque de Soliel show and loved it. The shoping, dining, swimming and magic adventures were all great. Easter is the rebirth of MR. Potatoe Head I think. I had some fun picking out some new faces for him/her. I'll have to post some when I get the laundry done!

Here comes Peter Cottontail.

Easter is one of my favorite holidays. Easter brunch is a big deal at our house but we have done away with hiding the eggs.
I always find one about June in some dark little corner! This year all our boys will be home to cook aebelskivers and drink bloody mary's. I have tried to cut back on the chocolate but we'll see how that goes! Last Easter we were in France on our way to Bordeaux to find that Sunday & Monday are considered holidays and so my Easter was sans aebelskivers and good old American chocolate! The French have beautiful chocolate too expensive and beautiful to eat. Nothing like a Reese's peanut butter egg....right Nick!

DaVinci Code with Pictures!

Last week I decided to reread (before the movie comes out) one of my favorite books. I had 2 copies but could find neither. So I gave up. Earlier this week I intended to buy a good paperback for my trip to Florida and I found the illustrated copy of the Da Vinci code in paperback. Twice the regular size but I couldn't resist. It is awesome to have the images handy but I'm sure I'll have it read before we leave!! HAs anyone read "The Jesus Papers" ? I think that's one of my next purchases.

Still working on the French!!

I have been eating lunch with one of our French teachers this semester and she is really very helpful and encouraging! It freaks me out when she comes up behind me and talks to me in French. Yesterday she e-mailed me an ipod French lesson site. I started with lesson one. The nouns are great but do you think I can learn to communicate without verbs! I hate them!

I'm a bit nostalgic for France these days since my wonderful vacation was exactly 1 year ago. One year ago today I was in Giverny......did you hear the sigh?

Today I have a class on Women in Art to finish up. A bientot!
