Teddy Bear Tea Party

While Emily, Liz & Caroline were here for Grandma Celia's spectacular birthday party we had a few minutes to get our Muffy & Hoppy Vanderbears out for a tea party. We had fun drinking lemonade out of little paper cups and muching on little cakes. The most fun was watching the girls dress their bears & bunny in new outfits. A bikini for Emilly, a sailor dress for Elizabeth and a Dr. Outfit for Caroline. Now my bunny and bear can hibernate until the next party!

Bye Brad & Susan!

Yes summer has arrived and so has our little visit from Brad & Susan. While they were here we had dinner and a beading party, a Brewers v Cubbies game, lots of salad making, some die cut fun at our IMC (for card making), a big get together with both the Johnson and Helding clans and a little quiet time to visit. Yesterday they were off for the last wedding of the trip! It was so great to see them again! Priceless!
Today is Celis's big birthday bash in her back yard. A tent for dancing and everything! Now I just have to figure out what we are all going to wear! It's fifties costume so I have to go find my saddle shoes!

Summer Vacation is almost here!

In only 2 days, I have off for summer! It has been years since I have had summer off! I have HUGE plans for projects around the house and I am taking a book making class at MIAD. I just cannot believe June is here. I have even planned a teddy bear tea party with Caroline, ELizabeth and Emily Johnson. I have to find a tea set for the fun event. But Muffy Vanderbear and Hoppy Vanderbear are ready!

I need to brush up on my French again!

Today one of my students handed in her final Drawing project. The asignment was to create a book of drawings with some commenting in it. There were a number of drawings assigned and they had to make the book using one of the techniques I showed them. I didn't even check the drawings because it was her writing that caught my eye! All of her writing is in FRENCH! I forgot to bring it home tonight but I will over the weekend so I can translate. Sometimes they surprise you and just make you smile!!
